“There are 1440 mins in the day, can’t you spare 30 of them for exercise?”
this is a little over 2%.

I just turned 29 and it felt good to celebrate it with a healthy dinner and without alcohol.
The past 2 weeks have been really busy and I haven’t had time to create a daily post of my progress. But I am happy to report that I am 6 lbs lighter and a dress size smaller. I can finally fit into most of my clothes again. I have also been replacing two meals with a plant based smoothie and going to bikram yoga at least 3 times a week. I know I originally wanted to go 6x a week but my work schedule hasn’t permitted me to do so. (see the but in there?)
I have now cleared my schedule so I can finally do this. I realized I cant keep putting my work ahead of my personal goals and health.
I was also taking a daily photo diary of my progress but my iphone crashed before I had time to back it up. I am starting a new one again today.

Today, I tried on a dress I haven’t worn in two years and it fit!!!! comfortably too!! I am so happy and encouraged by this!

I havent had time to blog about my fitness goal for a few days now. I have taken a few freelance gigs on top of my main work and whatever free time I have goes into exercising. Also 4 hour sleep pattens suck!
Day 2 - I started making myself plant based smoothies for breakfast, a light papaya salad for lunch and another protein smoothie for dinner. 90 mins of bikram
Day 3 - pretty much the same as Day 2.
Day 4 - Today! unfortunately its that time of the month (is this tmi?) and I feel really bloated and fat. Anyways, I made another protein smoothie for breakfast and for lunch I’m going to be eating a radish salad with seaweed and chicken strips. For dinner I’m going to have a lighter protein smoothie.
I tried on a dress today and realized that if I want to get back to my size from 2 years ago, I need to exercise more. Aging is not fun and it seems like losing weight is not as easy anymore. But I do feel better since I’ve started going to bikram everyday and eating better has done wonders for my mood.

Today I woke up at 5:40am and did an hour of meditative yoga to help me stay motivated.
For Breakfast I made a plant-based protein smoothie with strawberries and bananas.
For my mid- morning snack I had one pineapple macadamia snackaroons from laughing giraffe organics (160 calories)
Lunch: 1 salmon onigiri
And for dinner I plan on making another plant-based smoothie
Tomorrow is the first day of February, my birthday month! I promised myself a 30 day challenge, which means I will exercise for at least an hour every day til March 2.
I have been practicing bikram yoga for a while now and I am going to to it everyday this month plus an hour of running before each class.
I am doing this!!! I am ready!!!
alright here is my dreaded progress photo….
i’m pretty psyched that I have some visible results after 5 weeks. I definitely feel stronger and healthier and more energetic, but I’ve got a long journey ahead!
